HomeWelcome to Ambae School Project in Vanuatu!
Ambae School Project is the dream of Miriam Adomea who had a vision to see a school built close to her local villages for the many young children who live there. In 2007 Miriam’s village saw the beginning of the vision grow with her visit to the Island and the donation of land and an old building. During 2008 a team from New Zealand arrived on the island and began the first steps of development and entered the planning stage with the locals. 2009 saw those plans became reality when the first building team arrived from New Zealand and together with the local villagers they established the foundational structure of the school. 2010 had 3 teams complete the bulk of the 3 classroom block including all the school furniture 2011 'Engineers without Borders' planned, designed and starting building the toilet block and septic tank system. School registration applied for and granted 2012 School opens. Still lots to do, see our Project page
