Experience life in Vanuatu living alongside the locals on the remote Island of Ambae and help them build a community school.

Want to join the Team?

This year we are planning to take 3 teams to Ambae Island (2012)

This will not only get the school ablution block built but also help the whole community by bringing some medical teams, ministry and kids programme teams.

These are tough remote conditions to live in and the work is hard, often in 30+ deg heat mixed with rain and mud!

Transport to the island is in a small 10-seater plane and then you are transported on the back of 4x4 ute. So this is not for the fainthearted!

Not all team members need professional or trade qualifications but these are the type of skills we are looking for:

Block layer                  Nurse                          Carpenter                    Teacher

Plumber                      Youth workers              Solid plasterer             Labourer

Approximate trip costs per person:

Basic Trip cost:           $1500 NZD ex Auckland

plus                            $1000 towards materials
